String Beans with Garlic, Almonds and Tamari
Ingredients:
1 lb String beans
1 cup Almonds
5 cloves Garlic
¼ cup Tamari
¼ cup Olive oil
Cover with water and Soak almonds for at least 15 minutes
Steam beans until tender
Mince garlic
Sauté garlic in olive oil over med/low heat until browned
While garlic browns, chop or sliver almonds
Add almonds and sauté 5 more minutes
Drain beans and add to garlic mixture
Reduce heat to low
Add tamari
warm, stirring frequently for 5-10 minutes to meld flavors
